Through my psychotherapeutic training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) I am working with a scientific method. The focus is on the behavior, experience, thoughts as well as feelings in the here and now. It is assumed that attitudes, which can be responsible for current problems, have been acquired in the past. To create an explanatory model for symptoms, it can be necessary to look into the past. Against this background it is important to understand attitudes and behaviors, which occur in the present.

Besides classical methods I will use the newest developments of behavioral therapy, like the acceptance and commitment therapy or schema therapy. Furthermore I am trained in EMDR treatment (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which is a very effective method for symptoms of PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder).
